Our Story
History
In 1969, a group of believers responded to a profound call to live as the early Christians did, rooted in faith, united in community, and empowered by the Holy Spirit. This call marked the beginning of a journey that continues to this day.
Vision
The Renewal in the Holy Spirit Association (RHSA) stands as a living continuation of that original inspiration. Faithful to its founding mission, RHSA brings together several outreaches and communities across Lebanon and the Middle East, all committed to spiritual renewal, formation, and mission.
Jesus said to them again, "Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you." (John 20:21)
People of God Community
We are an ecumenical, charismatic Christian covenant community united by a common way of life and a shared mission. Our calling is to follow Jesus Christ radically in today's world, within our families, workplaces, universities, and schools. Through our witness and outreach, we seek to help others encounter Jesus Christ and experience the transforming power of the Holy Spirit in their lives.
Living Hope Movement
LHM is an outreach that unites people from diverse backgrounds and Christian traditions. It provides a space to encounter Jesus Christ personally, grow in faith through prayer and small-group fellowship, and live out the Gospel by serving the Church, family, workplace, and society.
Couples on Mission
COM is a vibrant outreaches across Lebanon (Beirut, Keserwan, Metn and Zgharta Zawyeh) that empowers married couples to live out their faith together while serving others. Rooted in love, prayer, and community, the program encourages couples to grow spiritually, strengthen their relationship, and become active witnesses of Christ’s presence in their families, workplaces, and society.
Young Professional Outreach
YPO brings together post-university individuals and young professionals who have encountered a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The group fosters faith through prayer meetings, spiritual activities, and retreats, while encouraging members to share their faith with peers.
University Christian Outreach
UCO brings together students from universities across Lebanon and diverse Christian traditions. United by a love for Jesus Christ, UCO helps students discover His love through worship, fellowship, service, and living out their faith as committed disciples.
Youth Outreach
Y-Out brings together high school students who have experienced God’s love and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Through prayer, activities, and fun events, they share their faith and inspire their classmates to encounter Christ.
Scouts Saint-Esprit
Scouts Saint-Esprit includes two groups, located in Antelias and Asnoun - Zgharta, affiliated with Scouts du Liban and sponsored by the Renewal in the Holy Spirit Association. Our scouting program nurtures trustworthiness, good citizenship, and practical outdoor skills through engaging activities such as camping, hiking, and community service.
